One Billion People Live with a Disability Worldwide

Over one billion people live with some form of disability worldwide, according to a 2011 Opens a new window study by the World Health Organization and the World Bank. The 350-page document was presented to the European Parliament by the Vice President for Human Development at the World Bank, Tamar Manuelyn Atinc.
